I have owned dozens of different boots since 1986 including the Hoffman version of these and Corcoran Paratrooper boots while in the military and these are the best by far. Nice thick leather all around and very durable stitching. They have a full tongue going all the way up and a heavy sole. They hug the leg nicely with just enough give in the ankle area for comfortable walking. I am sure I will not need to buy any other boots as long as I live. Even came with a bottle of high quality bee oil for initial conditioning. Well worth the money. J.L. Matthews customer service was great and shipping was fast. Thank you guys for my forever boots.
