Refund policy
Return Policy:Â
If you are unsatisfied for any reason, you may return most items within 30 days of the ship date*-Â WITH ORIGINAL PACKAGING. We may request you provide us with images of the items you wish to return.Â
The only items that cannot be returned are as follows:
- Discounted or on-sale items
- Worn Boots, Belts, and Hard Hats
-Â ANYÂ Rubber Good Items
-Â ANYÂ Fall Protection Items including Rope
- Custom Made or Made To Order Items: Grounds, Mechanical Jumpers, select belts and boots
Email shippingandreceiving@jlmatthews.com or call 1(800)421-3360 with your order number to receive your return authorization.
- J.L. Matthews Co. will provide a shipping label if we are at fault. In all other cases, the customer is responsible for shipping fees. In the event USPS is your favorable option, you are encouraged to insure the package as we cannot guarantee that USPS has fast transit times, nor are we responsible for refunding/ exchanging or honoring a return if the package is lost in transit.Â
- If your item was damaged or lost during shipment, it is encouraged that you file a claim with the carrier. You can file a claim by clicking your method of shipment UPS or USPS.Â
- We do not accept any returns after 30 days from the ship date. If you send us an item that has not been approved for a return, you will be subjected to a 20% restocking fee.
- You can cancel your order at any time prior to shipping. In the event that your item has already been shipped, we will refund your payment-Â minus the cost of shipping- as soon as we have received the item(s) back from you and processed them in-store.

REFUND Policy:
Once your return is received and inspected, we will email you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund. We do not always approve all returns due to the condition that it is returned. Images are helpful when making a return.
If you are approved, then your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment within a certain amount of days.
Late or missing refunds (if applicable):
Please recheck your bank account if you have not received a refund yet. Then contact your credit card company; it may take some time before your refund is officially posted. Next, contact your bank. There is often some processing time before a refund is posted.

Sale Items (if applicable):
Only regular-priced items may be refunded; unfortunately, sale items cannot be refunded.
Exchanges (if applicable):
We only replace items if they are defective or damaged. If you need to exchange your purchase for the same item, send us an email at info@jlmatthews.com and send your item to the Ship To address below.
Gifts:
If the item was marked as a gift when purchased and shipped directly to you, you’d receive a gift credit for the value of your return. Once the returned item is received, a gift certificate will be mailed to you.
If the item wasn’t marked as a gift when purchased, or the gift giver had the order shipped to themselves to give to you later, we will send a refund to the gift giver, and they will find out about your return.

You will be responsible for paying for your shipping costs for returning your item and any related insurance. Shipping costs are non-refundable. If you receive a refund, the cost of return shipping will be deducted from your refund.
The time it may take for your exchanged product to reach you may vary depending on your location.
If you are shipping an item over $75, you should consider using a shipping service with tracking and purchasing shipping insurance. We don’t guarantee that we will receive your returned item.
